CULTURED STONE®
It looks and feels like stone. It's made from stone. It's the affordable alternative.Cultured Stone® is cast in molds taken from carefully-selected natural stone, using a process that faithfully captures even the faintest detail. Each color and texture uses its own blend of Portland cement, lightweight natural aggregates and iron oxide pigments. Even on close examination, these manufactured stones look and feel just like the originals. Because Cultured Stone® comes sized and shaped for quick, easy installation, and because it's so light in weight that it needs no additional foundation or support, a Cultured Stone® wall costs far less than a full-thickness natural stone wall. Indoors or out, Cultured Stone® is durable and colorfast. And it's covered by a 50-year limited warranty. Corner pieces are available for all products. All Cultured Stone® and Cultured Brick® Veneer products have 90º outside matching corner pieces with deep returns. They offer the appearance of full-thickness stone without the extra weight. Architectural TrimCultural Stone® offers companion trim products that give any project the correct finishing details. Capstones: Wall and pier caps in flagstone and chiseled textures, two colors and two sizes, designed for effective protection for walls and compatible appearance with stone, brick or stucco. Stone Watertables/Sills: Provide and attractive cap for stone wainscots with a cast slope and drip edge to allow for water runoff. Can also be used as a cast-stone window sill. Quoins: 8" high stones turn an outside corner into a major architectural statement. Blend with other stone textures and create a contrasting accent with stucco or brick. AvailabilityCultured Stone® is widely available from authorized Stone Products dealers throughout the United States and Canada, as well as select countries in Europe and Asia. MaintenanceCultured Stone® and Cultured Brick® are virtually maintenance-free. If cleaning is required, use a strong solution of detergent and water. Scrub with a bristle brush and rinse thoroughly. Sandblasting, acid washing or high-pressure water nozzles may damage surface areas. InstallationDetailed Cultured Stone® installation instructions are available from your Cultured Stone® dealer. Cultured Stone® can be used on any structurally sound wall surface, including those where natural stone won't work, either structurally or economically. Its light weight and quick adhesion allow for fast, easy installation with none of the additional footings or wall ties required for natural stone installations. Mortar Color: Mortar Color selection strongly affects the appearance of the finished job. Mortar color should blend with the stone color. Technical DataCultured Stone® is engineered to meet or exceed the specifications set by building code officials. Manufacturers who claim "equivalent" products should be asked to document claims of test results and research reports. Light Weight: Average weight is 8-12 lb/ ft squared(39-59 kg/m squared). Colorfast: Colors become an integral part of the stone during the castling process. Existing applications show no undesirable change in color after years of weathering. Noncombustible: UL tested and listed. Testing of Cultured Stone® showed zero flame spread and zero smoke development. WarrantyCultured Stone® products have 50-year limited warranty protection when used on structures that conform to local building codes and when installed according to the manufacturer's instructions. Coverage is limited to the original purchaser. Warranty applies to manufacturing defects only and does not cover damage resulting from settlement of the building or other wall movement, contact with chemicals or paint, discoloration due to airborne contaminants and staining or oxidation.
